Recently, I'm getting a bit obsessive about the crone, or the matriarch. Maybe because I'm moving more into that stage age-wise, and can own my crone more, but more so, I think, is because I realize how much she's needed - and I find her sexy. Here's a quote from one of my biggest wisdom teachers; Marilyn Woodman, the Jungian psychoanalyst who worked with women and the feminine for 40 years. 

"The Crone has been missing from our culture for so long that many women, particularly young girls, know nothing of her tutelage. Young girls in our society are not initiated by older women into womanhood with its accompanying dignity and power. Without the Crone, the task of belonging to oneself, of being a whole person, is virtually impossible."

Even more so, she's absolutely missing in the business world. And in the entrepreneurship world. And in politics. I know so many wise women who now take a step back, and want to focus on the inner journey. Which I so get. And I also wish that more women were called, through Eros, to move into their power and then find their mystical wisdom through the crone. I believe we need a whole new level of leadership that is brave, has moral clarity and also can seduce us all into our greatness. And I believe Eros is the way it all begins, because Eros and Desire are what create a new reality.
