The Joy of Speaking Your Truth
Aug 21, 2025
This morning, I was at a meeting that turned into a liberation. Together we realized we shared similar viewpoints in an arena where most people silence themselves. The meeting turned into a two-hours open, non-censored discussion, which felt like a slice of heaven; a recalibration of what's possible.
One of the main reasons we self-censor is that we perceive the environment around us won't accept our truth, so we hold back. Which might be factually true, and there might be repercussions for speaking up. But biting our tongue is also a killer. Over time, our energy flattens, our voices go dormant, and we might develop an ulcer, eczema or worse. The only way forward is to find a way to let your expression shine, which then allows others to use theirs.
As I'm slowly reclaiming my voice, and daring to use it more broadly, my energy levels keep rising. I pretty much feel limitless (even though my body at night is demanding more sleep). As we speak up more, we discover that we are more open, have a higher capacity for relating, and are much happier.
Where do you self-censor, and with whom and why? And where do you find your voice?
Next week, I'll be speaking at the Feminine Voice Revolution Summit by Tabby Biddle. Come and join my talk, or the entire two days, and let your voice be in service of your, and the world's unfolding.
